Personal Post | Where now?

Hi there everyone! My design / artist / crafters posts are taking a break for a while, but I have no doubt it will return as soon as I find time to delve thru the internet and see what beautiful things I can stumble upon. For the meantime, I am trying to decide the direction of this blog, which is apparently my writing portfolio as well. As a hint, I have another ultra-personal blog, which is a private diary, so here is where the more formal things get featured, and use it as a promotional press.

As you can see, I have upgraded some designs on my site a bit to make it more uniform. I found it also refreshing to insert some text on the sidebar, which breaks out the cluttery, design filled navigation. Oh, that round thing you first see on the right is a link to my website, visit it please! I have upgraded it, somewhat, too!

Follow me at Twitter: @carisu, at Tumblr with the accounts carisu, iamcarisu, and at Pinterest, with the account iamcarisu. Yes, I’ll never tire of the name—it stuck on me since 2005. It’s derived from my nickname, Caris; just saying :)

Cheers, love!

Family Devotion: Justified

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

Romans 3: 20-26

We humans…

Obeying the law which we ourselves made
FAIL
Recognizing all of our iniquities
FAIL
Repenting from our sins
FAIL
Being faithful to the only true God
FAIL

We are meant to be doomed
Until our Creator steps out and makes a way
And the only thing He asks
Is for us to believe. To trust Him. To have faith.

I am justified by the blood of the Lamb. I am saved.

Our family devotion tonight helped me to gain a clearer view about God’s redemption. God has been patient with us all throughout the beginning; loving us so much that he did not require us to be perfect, only to become conscious of our sins and repent. During the days of Moses, He only asked for a sin offering, a perfect animal laid in blood taking the place of the sinner on the altar. But even that was entirely forgotten, and the Bible also notes many instances of worshiping other gods. Why would not the Creator be angry?

Why would He not wipe us away? He could have done that so easily, just like in the days of Noah. But no, He didn’t. In fact, He had another thing in mind. He will send a Perfect Sacrifice, in form of human, also a God, which will take all man’s carnality and sin on the cross, and become the Offering. And in place of that, man can have Salvation. And the only thing that God asks, is to have faith on that Sacrifice, and that deed on the cross was what saved us.

Many would be asking, why did God sent His Son, instead of Himself, to die on the cross? This is His form of Justice, and Love, in one action. Justice, for He, as the God of all, should perform over those beneath His power. Love, because it is the Ultimate Sacrifice He can give. What Father would not be pained, seeing His Son die innocently in the hands of murderers? But only through that action would He be able to save this world, which He created. This humanity, which He so loves.

Lord, in all of our weakness, in all of our failures; You could have turned Your back to us. But instead, no, You have chosen to love us more, and You have demonstrated your great, undying love for us by sending Your Son Jesus. How could I not be grateful? How could I not want Your grace in my life? Thank You for Your love. It is the same love I will live in, I will breathe, and I will share. By the Blood of the Lamb, I am Justified. And may others know about it too. In Jesus’ mighty Name, Amen.

This lesson is SO perfect, since we are doing Kids EE this season. I am blessed by these insights, and I hope I keep them in my heart so I can share a deeper thought about Salvation.

MUST READ: No More Wednesday Wanderings?

Hello there, everyone!

Today, I will share about the updates for our Weekly Wednesday Wondering. Our home site, Koobly, is taking a new direction, to which the owners are putting me in charge of their new site, Originl.com (they have some new work for me to do, and that is very different from writing stuff about amazing designers). For now, since the site is in beta mode, I might take a longer time preparing for its launch.

For the meantime, there may be no Wednesday Wandering (oh, I will miss this), but be sure to check out this site because it’s not stopping there.

To all the amazing crafters / designers / artists that I’ve featured, please continue to do what you’re doing. You’re amazing!

The { iamcarisu } BLOG will continue to spot and see all the wonderful things, aside from being a not-so-very-but-somewhat personal blog. Updating soon, so please bear with me!

I love you!

Caris

PS: Who knows what the next phase has in store for us? I am exciiited!!!
